Do you think teens should be allowed to bring cell phones to school?

Yes, as long as the phone is switched off (like I do) or set to Vibrate/Silent.

Depends on How ..... cell phones are perceived by the school....

I think cell phones should be considered primarily for their... COmmunication aspect over the distraction aspect.

why not? if its in school its should turn off so it will not disturbance for others, mostly teens having cellphones in school but you guys must used it wisely,

it should be allow as long as the student know that they must set the phone into silent or vibrate mode... and not using it while class in progress. Respect the teacher.

I guess it is not good to give a kids cellphone in first place. Because of radiation it my cause to them and it give distraction. Will, bringing it to the school, is okay as long as it will not distract the kid from his/her studies,and along as school authority allows it and used it for communication only.

i dont think it is good to allow middle school students to use cell phone,their duty is to study,and most of them because of having cell phone,they use their phones to play games or send messages during lessons,it is so bad!

You know i agree with you i am a student as well and just like you we have a policy that doesn't allow cell phones. I mean not even during nutrition or lunch i mean our free time i think we should do with that time whatever we want. Just like mp3's or ipods what it so wrong aobut them during our break time. I mean when it comes to an emergency that is the reason we have them in the first time.

They shouldn't be allowed because of all the information they can hold. It's easy to cheat on exams and get distracted if you have a smartphone. The biggest problem is how easy it is to conceal a phone now that they are so sleek and thin.
